Dedalus_10.12.2013Manager of the Buhuşi hospital, dr. Mohanad Toron, was awarded the Diploma “Modern initiatives in medical management”, for attracting and coordinating the first pro bono computerization with medical software, in Romania. The award was given during the event Medical Awards Gala, from December 9, organized by People and Companies.

“We always set goals and have bold initiatives. It is the only way we will be able to deliver medical services at Western standards in Romania and our shortages should not hinder us. The computerization of the hospital with ARMONIA®sanita, led to the increase in the quality of medical services provided by our unit, reducing waiting times for patients and finally a quality medical service.

The collaboration with Dedalus Teamnet also weighed a lot in the CONAS accreditation process and ISO 9001 certification. I recommend the computerization with medical software to all hospitals that are undergoing CONAS accreditation and to those that wish to offer their patients quality medical services.”  - Mohanad Toron, Buhuşi Hospital Manager.

In 2013, the hospital in Buhuşi obtained, the first computerization with medical software in Romania, financed and performed by the company Dedalus Teamnet. For the patients in Buhuşi, this iniative reduces the waiting time and increases patient safety in the intrahospital circuit through a better management of the medical data.

The doctors have quick access to the medical history, investigations and functional explorations performed in the hospital, to treatment and health status parameters, having the data to take informed decisions. The system also provides a transparent communication with the other sections and departments in the hospital, for the collaborative treatment of the patients.

The representatives of the Dedalus Teamnet Company talk about the role of hospital management in the implementation of an information system: “The hospital managers are the promoters of change in the health system. Their initiatives are those that will force the increase in quality for services in hospitals, beyond the shortages existing in Romania. We will continue to offer them tools by which to improve their performance indicators and offer better medical services or at least comparable to those in the private sector.” - Filippo di Marco, Vice President of the Board Dedalus Teamnet.

The information system implemented at Buhuşi fully covers the workflows in a hospital: Patient scheduling, Hospitalization, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Operating Theater Management, Outpatient, DRG, Clinic, Therapy etc. Doctors’ notes, images, notes for chemotherapy, laboratory tests and other types of data are stored in one place, so that all those participating in the medical service have a full, clear perspective on the health of the patient.
