The European Commission nominated the application of TeamNet in top 3 IT solutions dedicated to elderly people
The project MobileSage developed by TeamNet in an international consortium was chosen among the three finalists of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Award 2013, the program of the European Commission which awards the latest service and care providing systems dedicated to elderly people. The project is financed by the European Union through the AAL program and co-financed by the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding.
MobileSage consists in the realization of an IT solution that provides assistance for the use of new technologies employed in daily activities. The application allows the providing of customized information in a way adapted to user’s profile (e.g. if the user has vision troubles, then he/she can use the audio option), as well as to the context (e.g. a walk in the centre of Madrid at 12 PM in summer at a temperature of 30ºC).
„The interest in such applications is highly increasing, thus we estimate that in three years from the finalization of the project, at least 20% of the elderly population in the countries involved in the project and at least 10% from the other European countries will use the solution”, declared Bogdan Padiu, CEO TeamNet.
