Home Teamnet Group History
The history of Teamnet Group dates back in 2001, when the members of the current management team, at that time four students passionate about informatics, laid the foundations for what was to become the Teamnet Group.
The years to follow have ascertained our story as one about team spirit, talent, top management, evolution and determination.

2001
- foundation of Teamnet
- first software project - ManDoc (C++), with the value of 60,000 $
2002
- first integrated project - UMA
- first technology diversification - skills in Oracle
2003
- the first project where we used the Oracle technology
- excellence prize at Binary (National Software Fair)
- nominated for Utilities Monitor among the best 10 software solutions of the year
2004
- first ISO certification (9001:2000)
- development of an internal project management methodology, according to PMI approach
2005
- first Romanian software company to have received the official recognition for the competence "Microsoft Business Process and Integration" and the title of "Microsoft Gold Partner"
- first international project - Romanian Water Information Management System
2006
- first European project under FP6 - Coopers
- first Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
2007
- record of a first-time event - 10 projects implemented in the same year
- office opening in Iasi
- Teamnet reaches 100 employees
2008
- first-time appearance in the "Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe 2008" top, 7th place
2009
- 2nd place in the "Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe 2009" top
- first Schengen project
- first project on European Structural Funds
2010
- first global project
- first office opened outside Romania, in Brussels, and a new subsidiary in Chisinau
- 2nd place in the "Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe 2010" top
- we are designated best ESRI partner in Romania
2011
- launched cloud division, the current Ymens Teamnet Company
- 6th place in the "Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe 2011" top
- first project developed in the Republic of Moldova
- first large-scale consulting project
2012
- nominated for Business Awards 2012 in the categories "Entrepreneur of the Year" and "International Expansion"
- Teamnet team reaches 600 members in order to cope with the company's swift pace of expansion
2013
- won the "Project of the Year 2013" in the PMI Romania Chapter competition for the disaster scenario software project
- won 3rd place in the Big 5 category of "Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe" top
- Teamnet Group re-branding
2014
- National Champion of Romania at European Business Awards
- Second Place in the Best Employers Study conducted by Aon Romania
- Third Place in the “Big 5” category of the “Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe” top
- Partner of IFC, a member of the World Bank Group and Black Sea Trade & Development Bank (BSTDB)
2015
- Second round of investment from IFC, member of World Bank Group and Black Sea Trade & Development Bank (BSTDB);
- Business Partnerships: NEC (Cloud), Airbus (UAV), Acibadem (Medical), EENA & Orange (Emergency);
- Consolidate Robotics and Emergency Business Lines;
- New offices opened in Croatia and Turkey
- “The Best Emergency 112 Call Center in the EU”, Annual European Emergency Number Association (EENA) Gala
- 4rd place in the Deloitte Big Five category;
- National Champion in European Business Awards for the remarkable growth strategy.
2016
- Open the first Autonomous Research and Development Center
- New office: Switzerland
- ”Best Enterprise” and ”Manager of the Year” awards, IT&C sector, CEE region, Achievement Forum, UK;
- Teamnet in Red Herring Top 100 Europe;
- National Champion of Romania and ”Ruban D’Honneur” distinction for the remarkable growth strategy at the European Business Awards;
