Sky Sensor Icon Sky Sensor

Teamnet is developing the Sky Sensor Project in partnership with the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology within the University “Politehnica” of Bucharest; it undertakes to implement techniques to process the signals acquired from the payload sensor of the unmanned aerial vehicles, in order to autonomously extract as many correct and relevant data as possible from the area of interest, depending on the type of the respective mission.

The missions are diverse and usually they are modelled to meet as well as possible the current market demands: mapping missions, monitoring, search and rescue, mobile ground target tracking. The results of the research within this partnership are being materialized as bachelor’s degree papers, master’s dissertation papers and research reports of the students involved.

Several software and hardware technologies specific to Computer Vision are used to cover the suggested topics.

At the moment, we focused on the following directions for application development:

  • Shape recognition techniques and algorithms;
  • Video stabilization techniques and algorithms;
  • Characters recognition techniques and algorithms;
