CLOUDOPTING
With this solution we offer to public authorities at regional level the right tools to migrate their services to the cloud, irrespective how big or small these may be. The platform will provide services of the type Smart cities, CRM, invoicing, legal, videoconference, planning, portal and ERP and shall handle citizens’ data in such a way to allow the development of new innovative business services. The project will have four pilot areas with two physical nodes different from the cloud in Barcelona (Spain) and Turing, in Piemont region (Italy), with another two development sites in Corby regions (Great Britain) and Molise (Italy).
The project encourages urban and regional administrations to adopt cloud solutions, providing solution interoperability beyond the European borders.

The purchase and maintenance of a single administration platform represents a major cost, which not all cities afford to invest. If all Smart Cities services are delivered in a single, private, cloud solution which many cities benefit from, then the costs are significantly reduced for each of the beneficiaries.
The innovation of the project consists in streamlining costs, helping many cities benefit from the Smart Cities services, by replicating them using a cloud solution.
- Delivery and migration of an innovative cloud solution ;
- Delivery of an open shared platform in the cloud;
- Ensuring a replication level for the services shared and used in common;
- Implementation of 4 pilot-programmes in 4 different cities in UE: Barcelona, Corby, Piemont and Molise;
- Offering the tools needed to design the Smart Cities Services;
- Offering a full work plan and anticipating the impact of the project.
