Teamnet, selected as National Champion in the European Business Awards for a remarkable growth strategy


Bucharest, September 5th, 2014 – Teamnet Group, one of the first three local IT&C integrators, was selected as National Champion for Romania in the European Business Awards and is the only Romanian company to be nominated in the category “The BP Target Neutral Growth Strategy of the Year”.

European Business Awards is an important competiton taking place annually at European level, with the support of business leaders and academic, politic and mass media representatives all over Europe. This year’s eighth edition attracted more than 24,000 competitors from the business environment, with activities in 33 European states. Overall, 709 organisations all over Europe among which 10 from Romania were selected as National Champions and entered the second phase of the competition.

The main selection criteria for a National Champion are the success proven by the financial and business performance, innovation and business ethics. Teamnet recorded an accelerated develepment, reporting a turnover of 71 milion euro in 2013, a growth of 35% as compared to the results of more than 53 million euro registered the previous year. The exceptional progress is due to the important steps taken by Teamnet in the last years towards the transformation into a regional group, focused on developing large scale projects with a major impact on the society. Moreover, innovation is the foundation of Teamnet activities, the company investing more than 10% of its turnover in research and development projects. The Group is famous on the market for the important investments in Cloud technology development, GIS (Geographic Information System) technology improvement, Business Process Outsourcing center development and UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) technology development.

In the next step of the competition, a reputed jury made up of business leaders all over Europe, representatives of the academia and entrepreneurs will assess the video entries presenting the National Champions and select the winners of the much-longed-for prize “Ruban d’Honneur” at the same time with the finalists of the European Business Awards 2014/15.
