Internship-TNI_stireBucharest, February 13th, 2013: Nine graduate and undergraduate students in terminal years majoring in technical fields will be recruited in the winter session of the internship program organized by TeamNet, one of the most important IT&C solution integrators on the Romanian market. By the end of the year, 20 more positions will be available.

The candidates can apply for a full-time or a part-time position for a period of three months, and they will be working together with a team specialized in their fields of interest at school, such as Java and Net programming, database administration or business analysis. Moreover, throughout the duration of the internship, the interns receive a monthly scholarship.

“We’ve obtained very good results from last years’ internship programs. We succeeded in identifying high potential candidates, who later on became specialists in their fields. That is why 85% of the participants were co-opted for permanent jobs in the company,” said Bogdan Nedelcu, Solutions Manager TeamNet.

The registrations for the winter session of the internship program is open until February 28th, the results of the selection following to be communicated in March. During the selection process, candidates will be taken into consideration only if they passed all the exams afferent to the first two years of their academic program, if they have a strong background in mathematics, statistics and algorithms and elementary skills of designing relational databases and programming in a widely used language, plus communication and problem-solving skills.

Through their internship program, TeamNet has identified and trained future IT&C specialists, so it represents a priority for the company. “TeamNet pays a great deal of attention to the recruiting process, as well as to the successful candidates’ professional training. These students have the chance to work for extremely complex projects, such as the localization of endangered species on the maps of protected areas, the management of Danube’s naval traffic, the management of fishing activities, the transmission of emergency alerts using UAVs,” added Bogdan Nedelcu.

Since 2010, 150 undergraduate and graduate students with exceptional academic results have interned with TeamNet. The company encourages the development of young people in Romania, providing them with the possibility of gaining valuable IT&C experience.
The internship program is part of the Think’n'Do academic platform launched by TeamNet. The platform includes a series of academic research projects such as the Eye in the Sky competition, through which students have the opportunity to use UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) technology in order to conduct research that they can integrate in their graduation paper. Another academic project is Sky Senzor, consisting in the development of hardware and software applications based on video imagery obtained by sensors installed on UAV planes. Autonomous UAVs aims to create a management platform for UAVs, allowing the performance of missions by one plane or by a group of planes, autonomously. Opinion Mining & Big Data approaches topics related to the analysis of large quantities of data and texts generated nowadays.
