Teamnet, the first company to launch a specialized training in the field of UAVs

Bucharest, March 2nd, 2016 – Teamnet Group, one of the leading Systems Integrators in the region and the first company in Romania to develop and integrate unmanned aircraft systems of the Enterprise type, announces the launch of the first program of practical introductory courses in the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) technology in Romania, initiated by a private company.

In December 2015, Teamnet held a pilot session, and, as a result of the market feedback, the group officially launched the program of specialized courses in the field of UAV technology this year, in 2016. The first course took place last week on February 25th and 26th and both private companies and the public attended it.

Lockheed Martin, one of the largest companies worldwide, operating in the fields of aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies, presented in this course session the applied INDAGO system, directly applicable in emergency management. With an extensive resistance and an intuitive use, INDAGO is a quadcopter in the category of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), whose capabilities exceed the capabilities of a normal drone, as it can offer images from the air in minutes.

The initiative to organize this program of courses is part of the Teamnet strategy to support the development of the UAVs market, providing essential information on advanced business UAV technologies and on the potential thereof to revolutionize most varied industries such as agriculture, environment, energy, land surveying, urban development, transport or public safety.

“The development potential is huge and I think Enterprise-class unmanned aircraft will be one of the largest investments in the region in the coming years. From increasing productivity and reducing costs to improving living standards, airborne systems radically transform the way we see the world and in which we receive truly relevant information. Therefore, more than 100,000 companies worldwide are already using unmanned aircraft in their work and, according to international studies, the global market of autonomous airborne technology exceeded 6.6 billion euros last year,” said Bogdan Padiu, the Teamnet Group CEO.

Although the unmanned aircraft field has registered an accelerated adoption rate and validated benefits, in order to achieve such results, their potential users need information on the differences between types of systems, the legislative steps necessary to obtain and interpret the information gathered.

In this context, the initiation courses program developed by Teamnet supports organizations in understanding and deepening knowledge on the principles of building, equipping, operating systems and flight of the Enterprise autonomous systems. Moreover, the group offers a range of practical modules so that the participants have the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the operation of unmanned aerial systems and analyze images and video snapshots collected by the Hirrus system. The course is supported by specialists in the operation of unmanned aircraft, in aviation law, but also in analyzing and interpreting data collected by the UAV systems.

The Enterprise UAV segment and their integration in complex systems, along with technologies such as GIS or Cloud, represent one of the main directions of investment of Teamnet in the coming years.

Unmanned systems, such as the Hirrus system developed by Teamnet are generally available either as a service option, the customer being able to directly exploit the recommendations based on the images collected and acquired by the UAV or they can be purchased, depending on the specific needs of each company.

Further information and video Hirrus UAV system can be watched here.

About the UAV technology:

There are three main types of UAVs: toys (characterized by their flight and small size; these may include sensors and cameras), consumption UAVs (built to fly outdoors; they are pre-set to fly but do not allow pre-programmed and controlled flight), Enterprise range UAVs, such as the Hirrus UAV, designed and integrated by Teamnet (to be used professionally either for HD broadcast video or for the collection of high resolution images etc.). Enterprise unmanned aircraft have the ability to integrate the best performing sensors and provide high autonomy and stability.

 About Teamnet:
