Bogdan Padiu, CEO of Teamnet Group – the personality of 2013 for the evolution in the IT industry

The award is a recognition of the business leaders having an outstanding contribution to the evolution of the companies they belong to and of the impact they have on the corresponding industry.

Bogdan Padiu is the manager of Teamnet Group, who had a turnover of 53 million Euros in 2012. After having a revenue growth of 639% in the last five years, Teamnet was included for the 6th consecutive year in „Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe” ranking and is the only Romanian company included in “Big 5” – 2013 edition, being ranked the 3rd.

The businessman Bogdan Padiu built Teamnet group on the grounds of teamwork and, through perseverance and investments in research and attracting new talents, he succeeded to generate growth on all business levels, from professional development to financial indicators.

In December 2013, Bogdan Padiu has announced the new Teamnet identity. The rebranding came in the context of Teamnet’s transformation into a regional group focused on achieving large technological projects, with impact on the society. Teamnet aims to launch new complex projects and products to support the development in Romania and in the neighboring countries/in the region, to get involved in research and development projects, to expand at international level and to reach the threshold of 100 million Euro within the following 3 years.

The group carries out projects in 10 countries in the region and, within the next five years, it will have 12 more regional offices in Poland, Italy or Russia. Following the expansion, over 40% of the turnover will result from operations outside the country in 2018.

Teamnet’ objectives include the development in terms of addressed operations and market segments, both in Romania and abroad. As for the private sector, the group will focus on energy and utilities or financial-banking industry. Along with re-launching the IT investments of the private sector, Teamnet aims to generate over 30% of the turnover from projects carried out with private companies, within the next five years.
